Tim’m T. West
Founder & Principal Consultant
With nearly three decades of experience as a writing instructor and editor under his belt, in college-based and online settings,Professor Tim’m West wanted to offer an individualized writing consultation service not available with current online writing centers or one-time consultations at Writing Centers.
MyWritingProfessor.com offers a personal touch you can afford. Educated at Duke University, The New School for Social Research, and Stanford University, Tim’m has a long history of successful writing consultation in academic settings, specifically in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Because his professional experiences have always paralleled work in the non-profit sector, he also has a broad range of experiences in the areas of non-profit program development, college admissions, grant writing, curriculum development, and manuscript editing. Additionally, he has been both a copy and content editor for several creative manuscripts– helping writers not only refine their projects grammatically, but conceptualize them more clearly. From his work as co-professor of Writing Pedagogy and consultant at the Eugene Lang College Writing Center, to faculty positions in Northern California, or work as Adjunct Professor in English, Humanities, and Philosophy at Houston Community College, Tim’m’s approach to writing is about meeting clients where they are, finding realistic ways to improve the quality of writing given varied skill sets, and maximizing client potential. His objective is not simply to help you through a single assignment or project, but leave you with something that will enable your independence as a student, writer, or professional.

Given Tim'm's other professional pursuits, he increasingly serves in an advisory role to a growing number of consultants and content experts that he has mentored over many years. He strongly believes that both primary work as an Executive Director for a Civil and Human Rights organization, and as a creative who continues to produce music, books, and a podcast, informs his success as a consultant.

Mary Livingston
Consultant/Financial Advisor
With a background of over forty years in the hospitality industry, Mary Livingston is an accounting professional with a wealth of technical and operational experience. In a long career with two prestigious hotel companies, she spent her most recent tenure of twenty-six years with Caesars Entertainment. Beginning in a clerical position while a young mother, Mary impressively earned advancements through a variety of positions at hotel properties. Once casinos became part of the operations, several progressions led to a key management spot in the corporate offices of Caesars in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mrs. Livingston’s experience includes guiding the management of up to thirty-two properties under the Caesars umbrella, supervising up to twenty-one employees in doing so. Her supervision exceeded the typical managerial rigors of identifying candidates for hiring through training and developing her employees’ skills. Elevating personnel into supervisory roles under her direction with a focus on improving their business acumen contributed to both the team’s and the individual’s success. A part of many teams of large-property openings, quick and innovative thinking has always made Mary a valuable key in the creation of new policies and procedures to assist the growth of operations. Her uncanny ability to work across common departmental lines is a talent not found in what an operation usually may expect of its accounting professional.
